chat icon Rendering - Screen output differs from file output

Hi,

I'm using a 'Blend'-Background for my image. When I start the renderer, the screen output shows a smoother result than the saved file. Changing the image format produced no change (I normally use PNG and Targa Raw).

This is the on-screen-output of the renderer:

Is this wanted? Is there a dithering process while showing the render on screen? Unfortunately, I prefer the on-screen version Smile

I see no differences.

Maybe your display is outputting 16bit?

...you're right Smile I received a new TFT display today and the driver must have changed color depth from 32 to 16bit Embarassed I promise to use my brain next time (maybe it works)...

There -is- a difference:



This might be the dithering done by openGL in 16-bit mode though.
