Say you have a cube

8 verticies
24 face vertex normals
14 face vertex texture coordinates

in an OBJ as follows

Code:

g default

v -1.000000 -1.000000 1.000000
v 1.000000 -1.000000 1.000000
v -1.000000 1.000000 1.000000
v 1.000000 1.000000 1.000000
v -1.000000 1.000000 -1.000000
v 1.000000 1.000000 -1.000000
v -1.000000 -1.000000 -1.000000
v 1.000000 -1.000000 -1.000000

How do I get that same data to be displayed in Blender

It seems that there is only one face vertex normal per vertex, whereas the OBJ has three normals per vertex.

How is edge creasing handled in Blender, I am at a bit of a loss to know how to represent a model without face vertex normals and face vertex texture coordinates.

My blog about the subject may help you better understand the OBJ
