Every time I render an animation, Blender freezes after about 1-4 hours of rendering and I have to restart Blender to continue where it left off. (I render in .PNG images so I can resume the render when Blender freezes, and then use Blender to compile them into a .avi file when the render is finished).
When it freezes the computer doesn't lock up completely or blue screen, Blender just goes white and a window saying 'Blender has stopped working' comes up, which is usually an indication of a software glitch/bug.
I think the problem started when Blender was updated to 2.62 and has persisted in version 2.63 and I am sure it must not be anything to do with my hardware. All my temps are good and there are no hardware malfunctions or bottlenecks, and I am running Windows 7 64-bit.
Has anyone else had a similar problem or a way to fix it, or could it be a software bug that might be fixed in 2.64? Thanks in advance for any help
