I made a very simple Mesh combo. I added a Cylinder to the default cube on a New Start up. I added material and texture. I marked seams and unwrapped then triangled. Exported as Collada. Looking at the Collada the cube has the texture fine but the Cylinder seems to have the texture on the inside instead of the outside so it just looks black. What could have caused this? Any help will be much apprieciated.

Sounds like the faces are all facing inwards.
Select everything and then 'Recalculate normals'. I think the key is 'n'

if they are all inside, i'd rather to Normal flip, as recalc may not give proper results
