Where are the Blender 2.66 Lighting Options?

Postby DigitalFruit » Sat Mar 23, 2013 11:27 pm

Hello community, I'm new to blender so I've been using some tutorials and I've noticed in some pictures, when you go to the panel and choose the object data, the interface is different. In the pictures there are settings such as "distance" and "energy," in the "lamp" section, along with other sections, but in my blender all I see are "custom properties," "preview," "lamp," and "nodes." In the lamp section I don't see such options as "distance" and "energy," only "Size" and 2 check boxes. So, where can I find the distance setting of the light ray, it is within my understanding that I need it for my project. Any help would be appreciated, thanks. :D
