If I press 'G' and then 'X', I can grab selected vertex along X-axis.
But what if I want to grab it along the edge it's on? For example, I have an edge and three vertices: two endpoints and one midpoint. Then I wanna move the 'midpoint' to quarter-point. How should I do?

Thanks! It's a cool addon. For those who as lazy as me, here is a link.
Bonus tip:
I found another way to do this. What's interesting is that B) method can move vertices precisely, but Vertex Slide2 can't.
