Hi,
Just started with Blender after a couple of years trying out and battling with the "big" softwares. Screw dat, after one day with Blender I got further than I ever did with 3ds Max or Maya. Brilliant...and it runs on my beloved Linux!
Anyway...
I've duplicated an object in a scene and want to save that duplicate to a separate .blend file. Too much ambiguity in the query for Google, apparently. How can I do that? Thanks! I'm using v2.64.

There is no such options ("Selection only"), shame on Blender!
But there is a plugin available, closing this gap:
http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Extensions:2.6/Py/Scripts/Import-Export/Export_Selected
Tested and seems to work, even for OBJ etc.

Go the other way. Create a new file; then Link/Append what you need.
