I think I only briefly looked at SCons to begin with, before concentrating on CMake. I’ve been looking at the documentation at cmake.org, and I think it’s slowly starting to make more sense.

Debian Unstable has packages for OpenImageIO, but not OpenColorIO, so I build the latter from source. Also I prefer to build my own FFmpeg and x264, rather than rely on outdated distro packages. And I was able to figure out how to build OpenCollada as well, rather than use the prebuilt libs.
