Python API - Update flag during Sculpting

Postby letsplayfootsy » Sat Oct 12, 2013 2:58 am

Hi Everyone,
I'm working on a python script which will aid with 3d sculpting. However, I'm having trouble avoiding unnecessary calculations.

The main interaction mechanism I'm using/expecting is through sculpting. I'm looking for something similar to mesh.is_updated, mesh.is_data_updated, or so that I can be notified if an object has had its vertices moved.

I've tried assigning a callback in scene_update_pre and scene_update_post and checking in both of those if any of the flags are being set. Sometimes the flag gets set if I move a vertex in Edit mode, but none of them seem to be updated if I do any amount of sculpting...

Any help or direction would be appreciated
