is it possible to include an edge face and point weighting system into blender subdiv tool?
with this you know you dont need to add more geometry when you want hard edges at one point for example since when you loop cut you would have to move other points back to smooth the edge again.
blender nurbs tool has a cv weighting system. just this would be fine as well in blender since four cvs weigthed is equal to face weighting.
i hope you know what i mean!
This would be very nice, lightwave has this feature.
I suppose a new data type would need to added per vertex.
I like the idea- But I dont use subsurf at all so Im not going to push it.
most powerfull modelers have those features lightwave ei modeler c4d.
well for character modeling pretty neat!
there is already talk about a system that would let us add more data to edges and faces and such. also for this kinf of creasing.
