The package managers for most linux distributions usually do not have the latest version. Luckily, blender does not need to be installed to be used.
The simplest thing is to just download the latest release from blender.org and unpack the archive somewhere (like in your home directory) and run it from there.

i tried that as a first choice but it gives me this message
" There is no application installed for executable files.
Do you want to search for an application to open this file? "
and when i try to click "allow executing file as a program" in properties window it just won't allow me , it just reverts it
tried with terminal but always says permission denied and that was my last step
is there a simple way to allow executing it ?
