Todays CVS Build:

This CVS Build has been obsoleted by a newer build

http://www.letwory.net/cvsbuilds/bf_blender_windows_20040109.zip

Again, this is build with the SCons, using MSVC7 as the compiler. It has TTF, International, Quicktime and OpenAL support compiled in. There is still no game-engine, but we hope to get it enabled at some point, though (keep the faith! and test/explore other features in the meantime).

Changes since 2004/01/08:

* (progress) interface Started code reorganisation of button code
* (progress) yafray Code reorganisation for clean export to plugin alternative.
* (progress) displacement Proper handling of sizex/y/z, using AutoTexSpace button.
* (progress) source More code cleaning

Enjoy!

Dunno, I don't build those, so I don't provide them Smile If someone else did that...

The new displacement mapping is really cool, but I was wondering if it is possible to use two channel displacement maps (red for positive, green for negative). Also, with all the fantastic work on the blender render maybe it would be possible to add 3 channel normal mapping?

interesting displacement mapping links:

I am still picking up a lighting problem in Blenders Render as pointed out by Blinblin in the previous builds post. (looks like his host is down at the moment)

Rendering from the front shows up ok, but move the camera to 45 degrees on the right and the faces show up as if they were on the shadow side of the lamp (spot)

Sorry, I cant post, still need a host.

Nice, I finally got Yafray to work! The new version is a no-brainer to set up. Just install yafray and hit the yafray button in Blender and you are there!

Thank you very much for this amazing glorious build

One very frustrating thing so far: It doesn't seem to be possible to cancel renders with Yafray yet! This is much needed

You can press ctrl-c in the console window while YafRay is rendering. It'll cancel the render, but not quit Blender.
