I got Blender 2.23 for Linux, runs fine on lackware 8.0. However, when it starts up it i`opens a window larger than my display and I can't see the edges or reize the window.

Question: Does Blender respond to command line input at startup? How do I change the startup window size?

It is not bigger than your screen, it is exacly the size of your screen. It is fullscreen and has no window decorations and you can't move it.

To start blender in windowed mode use ' -w ' switch.

Have fun

2.25 starts windowed mode as standard, but there's no commands that let you run it in fullscreen again =/
