I've been reading up on OpenMosix a little bit and getting eager to try it out.
Does anyone know if Blender's rendering by parts will see an advantage of using OpenMosix?
As a case example, I'd like to see if a single frame split into 2 Xparts and 2 Yparts (total of 4 parts) and rendered on 4 nodes using OpenMosix would come out four times faster than on one node.
I'm pretty sure you wouldn't see any speedup
currently. To see a speedup each render by
part would have to be a seperate process and
currently its not.
Do you think the render by parts will eventually become separate processes?
