Can someone post the controls for the camera in the workspace. I know how to rotate the camera and get a top, side, and front view, but how do I move it freely around the workspace?

No. The Middle mouse button only lets me rotate the view. What I want to do if freeroam around the workspace. Basically move the camera up and down, left and right, front and back, etc. Kind of like touring the environment.

The "free roam" mode can only be used for the camera, not the User view you normally work with. Go into the camera view (Numpad 0) and press Shift+F.

Shift + middle mouse button.

It works in both.
