Postby gabio » Thu Sep 16, 2004 10:44 pm

ok get you hand on this new version. new stuff ahead!

Tuhopuu2 since last merge, 09/06

Relevant feature
-Quaternion functions
-HDRI RGBe codec
-Tangent space fixes.
-Port of Hanrahan-Krueger skin shader
-New paint fun. now paint new map from scratch!

Update GLSL shader example
Added Python set/getEyeSeparation set/getFocalLength methods
Fixed bug in the vinterlace stereo method - polygon stipple pattern is 32*32 bits.
Use red-cyan for anaglyph stereo, since it solves what to do with the green channel.
Update shading library:
Quaternion functions
HDRI RGBe codec
Tangent space fixes.
Port of Hanrahan-Krueger skin shader posted by Tom Musgrove to bf-committers to GLSL. (not complete)

vertexgroup subdividing as in bf ML
UV paint editor
- create image from the scratch 'new' in menu
- full control on soften brush
- new 'smear' brush
- some clean up in space.c /* still waits for migration to proper file */

looks nice though.

gabio, thanks for building and sharing

i was a little lazy when committing
"vertexgroup subdividing as in bf ML " :?:

bjornmose @ bf ML wrote:Hello all..

The following patch adds a feature i have been missing in edit mode:
When you have already rigged up a character and finished tweaking the
vertex groups for nice movement, there is no way to add some deatails
to the mesh without painfull reassigning vertex groups to new vertices.

When new vetices are created while subdividing , loop and knive cutting
and extruding, thoose vertices were created without any vertex group
membership even when the vertices they are derived from had vertex
groups assigned.

This patch extends the subdividing *core* ( which interpolates UVs
nicly ) with vertex group propagation, so that newly creteated vertices
inherit the group membership of their neighbours. The extrude code is
extended that way too.

thanks for this build gabio, and thanks to the coder :D
Creating and painting a new map in blender is great, the bjornmose's patch is very useful...thx
But i can't use/find the new skin-shader, where is it hidden?

Nice Build. Thank's for it. :D But the numerical input Fields are totally bugy. :( (Try in Logic Bricks and N-Key Menue ... don't know where else.)

The GL shader stuff is available in the source tree - I still haven't thought of a decent way of making the functions available to user shaders.

The skin shader still doesn't work - I have to write some GLSL replacements for Renderman library functions, and remove the illuminance(...) call since that won't work in GLSL.

So, nothing really exciting from me in there except for the stereo stuff.
