Pretty awesome animations, using something called MIDIMotion, which I didn't see referenced in any of the forum messages. The site mentions that this is wrapped as a plug-in. I'm sure they mean for 3DS Max and Maya, but I wonder if it could be compatible with blender...

I once wrote a python script that parses MIDI files and generates ipo curves from the data. This one looks like a more sophisticated version of the same idea. Maybe I'll revive the project once a new Python API has been agreed on (and I'm bored enough ).
