Just Starting

Im brand new to blender and im wondering where would be the best place to start, i know thier are tutorials but some things dont work for me on their when the are explained.

First. there is a manual you should read and keep near you.
you can buy it at the eshop here:

it's the blender 2.3 guide, buying it will help the dev. of blender.

Also tcech the info center of blender3d.org here:

It containt very usefull tutorial to start and understand this interface very quickly.
Also, i realy encourage you to join a community to talk and share your experiences.
blender.org is for developpement so i suggets you to go @ http://www.elysiun.com where a lot of entusiast users will help you.
