movie offset

Postby on » Wed Jan 12, 2005 10:30 pm

Hi all,

I posted this over on elysiun without any success. I would like to use the same movie file as a texture on different planes and have each plane offset so that it starts with a different frame. It appears that this is not possible, if so, I would love to see someone change this.

I have been careful to make textures "single-users" and to assign different materials. The controls suggest this is possible, but when rendered, the same frame appears in each frame.

Thanks for looking into this.

I think its a bug :)

I got it working by making a copy of the movie and
changing the offset and using the two movies for the seperate textures.

You can look at http://www.cs.umn.edu/~mein/blender/offsetmovie.blend for
what I'm talking about. (Probably will want to use your own movie to test it but if your really bored you can download the movie I used at
http://www.cs.umn.edu/~mein/skydive.avi
