chat icon crushing metal

I had an idea to use softbody for only a few frames to create a crushing metal effect. When I baked the softbody settings, I couldn't add new keys.
could someone help me out here?

I can't really figure out what you're trying to do, but maybe you should insert key before baking softbodies? Confused
