I've noticed a few problems with Blender since updating my copy of Mac OS X from 10.4.2 to 10.4.3.

1: Menus appear to not work at all until Blender is either in full scren mode [When you click the green button] or the window has been resized.

2: lines drawn and connected to/with the left mouse button [Scale, Move, Rotate] and tooltips [text descriptions on what certain buttons and fields do] are not drawn until Blender is either in full scren mode or the window has been resized.

3: When rendering an image or animation output to a seperate window other than the 3d view, the render progress does not display, and the image itself will not display until not only it is done rendering, but you somewhat "force" a window update by clicking and draging over the window to see the color values of any given pixel.

Anybody else getting these? Know any solutions? Are my problems actually being caused by the latest system update, or is someone getting these in other versions of OS X?

I'm not sure about anybody else out there, but I really kinda like to see my render progress. Lets me know if I go to grab some coffee of whatnot. Any reply is appreciated.

Yes, I too noticed the menus not showing and the rendering not showing in progress after updating to 10.4.3. I didn't know you could get the menus to show again by going full screen. Thanks for the tip!
I was going to start on some Blender tutorials and then I had to go and update the operating system. Never update the operating system when you actually want to start working on something! When will I learn? Rolling Eyes

I'm pretty sure it's related to the 10.4.3 update. I have a second hard drive with 10.4.2 on it and everything seems to work fine there.

Yes, there's definitely a problem with Apple's 10.4.3 update - apparently blender isn't the only application affected. There's some more commentary on this thread here: http://www.elysiun.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=53929. Apparently lukep, our Mac platform manager has submitted some bug reports with Apple about it, hopefully there will be some progress soon.
