Irix 6.2

Postby kid_tripod » Fri Feb 14, 2003 5:12 pm

Is there any chance of an Irix 6.2 port? My SGI is stuck on 2.1 something! (I'd be happy if only to add real subdivision surfaces!!)

What features use things only in 6.5? Maybe I could then download the source, stub them out, compile it and be done with it.

One last thing, whats the Irix performance like these days?

for mipspro? nope, there's too much c++ stuff in the code anymore.
you might try an autotools build, but you'll have to load up all the n32
support for modern freeware. one thign that will kill you was the move
to opengl1.2. irix 6.2 only support 1.1.

unlikely.

not as good as it used to be. with gcc it's worse.
