I have a similar question. I am an old time user of 3dmax trying (hoping to) migrate to Blender. I am trying to align some objects in a manner similar to 3dsmax -> align centers, tops to bottoms, etc., but can not do it. Is there a way to align objects automatically in Blender? By automatically I mean accurately, because so far, in all the tutorials I've tried the alignment is done by hand by dragging the object, which is not what I have in mind when I think about alignment.

I know this might sound trivial for some veterans, but I've invested a couple of days into this already and so far no results. Thanks!

the Snap tools are probably the closest to the align method you're looking for. http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Doc:M ... ap_to_Mesh
