I'm trying to use the wire frame of a sphere and make it look like little light pulses are moving from one vertecie to the next. But i cant render just the wire frame itself. Any ideas?

I suggest you post your questions in the forum at http://www.elysiun.com . This website (blender.org) is for Blender development (and in particular this specific forum is about educating people in 3D using Blender as a tool), and as such, questions on how to use Blender are off-topic for this forum. You'll get much better, and faster answers if you post in the Questions and Answers forum here:

To render just the wire frame of a mesh: under the Materials tab, click on and enable Wire. It should be the 4th light-purple button down, towards the middle of your menu.
