Is there a known issue with AOL-email addresses?
I've registered with another user-name and an AOL-email address
and didn't get an activation mail until now and i'm still waiting for it.

I would suspect your mail was eaten by the AOL spam filter.

Hmm...the AOL spam filter places such emails in a so called Spam-Folder.
That's empty.
