GLSL shader development in Blender for Artists

Martins Upitis, Michael Otto

Sunday 27 October Salon 60

OpenGL's shading language (GLSL) is a very versatile tool for creating really stunning graphics, and OpenGL/GLSL is the basis for Blender's graphical user interface as well as for the game engine. This workshop gives an introduction on how to create and include GLSL shaders into Blender, how to develop shaders for other applications, and on the potentials (and limitations) of GLSL in Blender. As a discussion topic, we may interactively develop an outlook on possible future development options and wishes for Blender's GLSL interface.
