In Look Development one must master the creative and technical facets of CGI productions which includes a sense for material, form, lighting, camera and arrangement as well as the implications of high-performance technical implementation. Using case studies I present how look development faced interesting creative challenges in recent commercial projects using Blender and Cycles.

Tobias Guenther is Professor in Computer Science and teaches 3D Modeling and Game Development. As founder of Elaspix 3D Product Configurators he is mainly responsible for the technical look development in mass customization applications.
