SKYWATCH: Rendering the Near Future

Skywatch is a short proof-of-concept film long in the making. My VFX Supervisor Sandro Blattner and I would love to come out to show the film (10 minutes) and talk about how we used Blender to make it happen.

The talk will touch on the pipeline and approach for executing the 200+ visual effects shots (Blender/Nuke handoff, set reconstruction techniques, data management and renderfarm experiences, plenty we could go over)– and our experience collaborating with freelancers and small studios. We are putting together some exciting breakdowns and timelapses, and would also invite Pawel Somogyi (from Poland) to help us present his impressive modeling/shading work which he led for our hero assets.
