Landscape tools not working

I am using 2.66 and I just enabled the lanscape add on. However the tools don't work. The tools do show up but they can not be selected. I tried F6 and the same result. The window comes up but I can not select any tools at all. Also It seems that my mesh will only show up on the defaualt layer / lay...

Ya I found it under system, once activated you can then select experimental in the render settings and choose GPU. FYI, my render time on one model went from about a minute to under 5 seconds using CUDA setting. Blew me away. I cant even imagine how fast it would be if it worked with the Blender int...

I think we would need to know a bit more to answer your question. Are you animating characters or objects? the image shows a plane with one bone, it would be easier to just go into object mode and move the object then insert a key frame. I would love to help, but I need to know what you are trying t...

good question. My renders are useless in cycles since 2.66. I have a NVIDIA GPU but can't use it. CPU renders take enormus amounts of time and I have an I7 CPU. With 2.65 the same Cycles renders using GPU were just seconds now they take minutes, literally. Way off the chart, not even practicle to wa...

Pose Mode snapping to grid 2.66

I posted this in another forum and it never seemed to show up, so here is the situation, While grabing bones, IK's and so on in pose mode they are snapping to grid locations. Some are proportional to the zoom level and others snap a whole grid increment "1" no matter what the zoom level. I'm not sur...

Pose Mode snapping to grid 2.66

While in pose mode my bones / IK's are snapping to grid locations rather than moving as usual. Some snap a whole unit regaurdless of zoom, others react based on zoom and snap at smaller or larger increments proportional to the zoom level. I'm not sure if I accidentaly changed some setting for,,, or ...

Views in weight Paint

As I said in the previous post you have several view options, including selection to visable or as I call it "All". It works tha same as it dose in object mode. A nice little trick with selection set to all is to hide the verticies or areas that may be creating some confusion as to what exactly you ...

Thanks, but given the length of time for the response I already figured it out. In short a linked object will have to be changed in the original file, something one may not want to do. By using append we are really creating a duplicate of the object and placing it in our active UI, we can than do wh...

Painting Modes

There are different View modes in weight paint just as in Object mode, solid, texture, wire frame. You can only do certain things according to the mode you are in, not all of the brushes / tools work in all modes. In solid mode you will not see the mesh, if you use the Blur tool you will find that e...

Eric Im not sure if you ar watching your post but, looking at the assignment you need to create some letters / a word and each letter needs to be a seperate object. So pick a word and add a cube for each letter. Then edit one cube at a time making that cube into one of the required letters. It may b...

Weight Painting Topics Only

I decided to start this topic because I have been working with weight painting extensively and exclusivly for the last month, 6 to 8 hours a day. There seems to be very little on the subject and I have learned a lot by observation and experimentation . I think it is important to disscuss just how a ...

Now I see a bit better what you were saying, in short,,, Blender reverts back to the status it was in when you closed the program. Save, Save , Save and when you are ready to exit go back to the mode you want it in when you reopen, save it then exit. Also , if you render and do not save it just hit ...

Question on IRC and Freenet

Can some one please post specific instructions on how to get into the IRC for Blender on Freenet. I would love to be far more involved but the only thing I have ever seen is that live chat for blender is IRC on freenet. We have a Chat menue or tab right next to Forums but no instructions on how to g...

As a man with degrees in programming I can say there is a reason for the decimal system, they represent subtle changes being made as bugs are being fixed. It's a integral part of the software design process. example : a program is released say 2.0 then the bugs start to show themselves and are gathe...
