M@dcow, have you tried UV-mapped planes?

They are harder to set up, but do give the result you want.

Make compiling error

Hi, Could someone please help me to compile Blender? I have successfully compiled Blender from CVS several times with SCons, but I can't get Make to work. I believe this is the relevant information: gcc -c -DGAMEBLENDER=1 -DUSE_SUMO_SOLID -pipe -fPIC -DNDEBUG -O2 -funsigned-char -fno-strict-aliasing...

To move the object center, Tab into Edit mode, move the mesh in the opposite direction, then in Object mode move the object back. (Very clumsy...)

Questions like these are better to be asked at elysiun.com. This is a developers forum.

Sorry to bump this old thread, but I can't login to projects.blender.org either. I wanted to make a bug-report, so I tried to login, but it said my username or password was incorrect. I used the same as for this forum. Next I filled in my email ("if you cannot login...") but the site said I still ha...

It will be backwards compatible, but older versions won't be able to open new files correctly (not forwards compatible, if that's a word). That's probably why they changed the version number to 2.40. I think there will be only small issues though; when I opened a scene created in a testing build in ...

I believe you can submit it here:

From the Group dropdown menu, select "Current CVS version".

Nope, this isn't really the right place. This is an developing forum, user questions should be posted at Elysiun. It's far more likely you'll get an answer there too. Anyway, selective beveling isn't supported as a tool in Blender, but there is a script called Bevel Center. (Mesh in Edit mode) Mesh ...

If you're looking for a post-effect motion blur: VirtualDub has a motion blur filter. Actually I'd rather have "true" motion blur. It will look better for spinning objects for instance. Depending on how much render time you can afford, you can then choose whether you want it "true" (in Blender) or "...

Both builds seem to work fine with me, except that the icons in Andrea's build are quite blurry.

Thank you for doing this, it will make fine-tuning procedurals a lot easier.
