Problems with windows resizing

Currently using v2.57, but I recall it was a problem in v2.56 as well... I have multiple monitors. If I try to expand the Blender window to stretch across two monitors it messes up the windows in the Blender work area. It seems like there's a max limit on how big the Blender app can be and once it p...

Why No Triangle Count?

...or change that Fa count thing to report the triangle face count. Such a basic requirement if you need to keep a model under a certain polygon limit. Would be far more useful to have the tri-count as opposed to the faces count. Far as I'm concerned, the Fa count is a useless indicator and I don't ...

There's a lot of things that could be wrong, for example unwelded vertices (remove doubles). All the obvious things have been accounted for. Actually it now appears to just be something goofy in the Blender v2.56a graphic display, because I'm no longer seeing it after the model is imported to a game.

You will have to recalculate the normals (Ctrl+N). Doesn't seem to make it any better. I had already gone in by hand and redefined (or flipped) several of the normals to get the faces in the right direction. Ctrl+N only put them back in the improper facing position, and several still had the black ...

Black Shadow on Corner of Face

What would cause a black shadow to appear on one corner of a face when viewing the model in texture mode? ...and more importantly, how do I get rid of em?

It also appears once the model has been imported into a game, so I know it's not just a Blender display issue.

Lock Vertices

Is there a way in Blender (using v2.56a) to lock vertices so that the "Remove Duplicates" Feature would not merge the locked/overlapped vertices?

Multi-Object UV Mapping

Using version 2.56a Challenge: Use a single TGA file for skinning a complex model with multiple objects. (to be used in a game) I seem to be running into some difficulty in how I'm organizing the model components and then trying to use the UV layout window to unwrap the model. If I organize the mode...

That sounds cool...

I like staying in edit mode and not having to create the temp group of vertices. ...but I'll give that a try as well.

Thank you.

You can select vertex groups with the shriinkwrap modifier... I'll keep that in mind and investigate further if I can't use the projection method I've outlined above. At best it would require some flipping back and forth from object to edit mode, creating temporary groups, having to select the grou...

This is soooo, close! I notice that I can align my view either to an axis or to the local axis of the selected elements. Even though the drag handle disappears and I'm essentially needing to move in the same direction of my view perspective I can use the keyboard shortcuts to grab and move in the di...

One follow-up question though... This "Project individual elements on surface of other objects" feature seems to work great, but I notice it projects the elements onto the other object based on my viewing perspective. If I set my view exactly the way I want to project the vertices onto the target pl...

No, the modifiers would apply to the entire object. They have to be applied to the whole thing which makes em useless for this. However, after re-reading psullie's post above realated to the snap object. I didn't notice that extra toggle button that appears in the snap to magnet area for "Project In...

Try the Snap tools, the magnet icon, and select project individual elements. Groups of vertices can be 'dropped' onto a plane. Tried it already... it doesn't work. There are two problems with it: 1) The snap-to "circle" that appears doesn't limit itself to the direction of the extrusion/movement. Y...
