Probably asking too much, but one of the bigger hindrances when it comes to BGE is that we have to revert to old versions of concepts in order for it to work in BGE. It'd be great if things like the armature or subsurf modifier worked in game engine on the fly without having to convert it to the old...

I don't know if anybody would be willing to pick up after you, but I think that would be a great start. How would we exactly add this 'officially' to a list of suggestions for the devs to look at and consider?

2.43 appears to bugger up ramp shading somewhat.

I had a project that I stopped working on prior to 2.43 release, and just decided to open it up and give it a render with no modifications and lo and behold, the shading is screwed up. I really wish I could have noticed this earlier, but better late than never. Before: http://www.lightbox.org/~fuzzm...

An idea that may, in my opinion, help Game Engine a lot.

I've been in and out of the Game Engine, using it here and there, and I was randomly thinking today about it. Seeing as how it's getting a lot of improvements lately (Ogre, Bullet, etc), I thought, what hasn't been improved? I immediately thought of the Logic Bricks. Blender's received a lot of upda...

I don't know if you can dump fluid calculations onto Ageia's chip without using their own fluids which aren't all that great.

I don't think it will happen, for several reasons, though I wish it would, so we could have awesome cloth physics :X 1) It would involve implementing Ageia's SDK, which, although free, apparently cannot legally be done with an Open Source application. I do not know if that is true. 2) I would impede...

I found another little (feature? bug?) that absolutely drives me nuts. I was toying with the Mancandy model earlier, moving cubes, cameras around etc for a quick animation, and I found for whatever reason that when I changed an objects X loc to say, 0, the transform properties would say it's at 0, b...

Transform properties Windows (N), doesn't seem to happen for color sliders.

Ugly new feature in 2.43 that I'd rather not have.

This is really a minor complaint; picky even, but ever since I got 2.43, I discovered the nasty little number box revert feature. If you click a number box, hit backspace, normally, you'd get 0. Now, you get the number you just intentionally erased. Now, I can understand a safeguard for deleting num...

Bullet Physics is open source, multiplatform and being improved all the time. See new features for Blender 2.43: http://www.continuousphysics.com/Bullet/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=752 For the future, there are plans for SIMD, multi-core and GPU optimizations for Bullet. I don't see any future for this ...

Envelopes and game engine?

I was fiddling with gameBlender earlier, with my rigged model (using envelopes), to find to my dismay, it did not work. When I tried it with vertex groups, it worked fine. Is there any way I can use envelopes?

A few quick questions.

I really hope this is in the correct forum. Basically, I have a few questions that I've been unable to find answers for. 1) How do/Can I put two seperate primitives together as one object? Example, I have two rectangles and I want to put 'em together to form a sort of staircase shape. How? 2) How do...
