Has anyone tried using the intel compilers for linux? http://www.intel.com/software/products/ ... s_c_linux& I would have tried myself but the download is a bit big for my dial-up modem.

I have windows and it seems to support type 1 well, but not type 2 and my capture programs record the dv streams to a type 2 avi, If blender could read them type 2 I would not have to encode them in a different app.

Blender(at least for me) only supports type 1 dv AVI codecs, most of my DV footage is in type 2 which blender does not support. What I want is type 2 support so I can use my dv footage without having to convert it.
