When it's done being put back in, how big will it be?

If it's very large (30+ meg) is it possible to either use -z9, or have a checkout done and then bzipped, so that It's not a hassle for us that have 56k to download?

Segmentation fault in Mdk 9.1... :evil: Ah well, looks ok on my Win2K at work but I couldn't really test it there... I just hope we don't jump the gun too much and try to get it out of the door for the Conference. I'd prefer a buggy beta release to a buggy official Blender 2.3. Maybe wait some week...

Use real video processors/cards like Nvidia.

They support openGL.

Unless these logos are insanely complecated, I suggest exporting your image to PNG, then hitting Shift+f7 in the 3dview then hitting view buttons if nessecary.

Open your file and trace the image with blender's bezier curves.

tsk tsk I was simply creating a database copy from, this takes a long while since the database covers over 5 million records and over 500mb. Reason for doing so was to have a working backup copy of elYsiun running at the website in a secret area, for development purposes. Timothy Sounds 'nummy... :D

The GNU license only applies to the code, and the binaries of blender. The art that you output from the code/binaries is your intellectual property. The only way you can "sell" blender is by selling the service to distribute blender. GNU licensed apps require that any code modifications be made avai...

OK, I do understand those reasons.

I'm not too bummed out by not having the latest binaries...I plan to reload with a new linux distro in th next few monthes so I'm cool.

2.28a works nice enough for me ATM. :)

Let's not make into an OS war peeps, we have a more immediate problem on our hands, the latest greatest blender binaries are non funcitoning on multiple operating systems. The reason for this seems to be something with internel python stuff. I got into a rather heated discussion with some peeps in t...

Python 2.2.2, with python path set in the bashrc.

Code: Select all

$ ./blender
'import site' failed; use -v for traceback
Segmentation fault (core dumped)
I have the core dump here if anyone wants a look.

My libpng version is 1.2.5. Mandrake9.1.
