Ahh. For some reason I've always missed that, I assumed it was just a preview change, similar to the options within a shader. Always just added a new lamp at the same location as the previous light via the 3d cursor. It does seem that takes up a lot of unnessary space and isn't consistent with the r...

Shader Node workflow improvements
I love the shader node system in Blender. But it could use some major improvements. Most noteable is the requirement of a full material node simply to mix textures. The addition of a texture node would be a big improvement. Not to mention access to all node properties from within the node system. In...

Switchable lights and master ambient lights
In Project Messiah it has something known as master lights. These master lights actually act as a local ambient light. Pretty powerful concept and allows a great deal of control. Individual lights are created under master lights allowing global control (either full control, or additive, subtractive,...

Please do not use a toolkit. This just creates essentially another program you have to maintain and update insync with Blender. Cleaning up the code is the best option. This is all pointless discussion. Blender needs a more customizeable UI. I see many comments on Cinema4D and MAX. What people do not realize is that the UI is fully customizeable in most modern programs, to the point you can build your own UI from scratch. Maya for instance may look cluttered to the...

Actually I'd rather have "true" motion blur. Depends upon what you mean by "true" Bagration. I wouldn't mind an implementation of vector motion blur for its accuracy combined with speed. But 3D motion blur would just be obscene in render times. Perhaps an implementation of both to appease the masses.
