Mapping numpad point to comma sounds like a job for the xmodmap utility. At least when running X. It's less a matter of keymapping as of l10n. In many (if not most) countries a comma is used as decimal separator, so it makes sense and shouldn't be hard at all to do so... nevertheless it's quite a b...

great release candidate... and many new things to explore. :-) one little GUI error in the transform props panel in 3d-view: when going to editmode and then hovering over the buttons of the panel sometimes they are blackened out and redrawn when hovering over them again. beside that only some (3 all...

2.42 TESTSUITE - material node example missing (DONE)

I just looked into the files of the above mentioned testsuite, but I did not find any example file for materials using nodes. could there be integrated one to examine this feature a bit easier?

EDIT: the testsuite now contains a working example file named nodelib.blend
thanks ton! :-)

FEATURE REQUEST: comma (,) also useable as decimal point

for the many german users (me too) with german keyboard and key layout it would be very great, when the comma (,) would also be accepted by the gui as decimal separator like the point (.) - because then they could use the numpad for value input without having to jump to the point-key on the other pa...

I have a similar problem at the moment... But actually I have to override it by exporting from Inventor to DXF, STL or ProE(R)-Files (means ProEngineer - *.slp). I couldn't try the last one listed yet, but according to blenders import-menu it should work. A problem is in fact that DXF and STL and al...

No, there were problems with crashing, iirc. (I'm too lazy to go look for the bug reports) okay, the last thread/post I read about this (please don't ask me where) told about a debugging problem with fullscreen on, but maybe there was to read "debugging problems because of app crashing". In fact I ...

I talk about the real fullscreen mode on windows systems, not the maximized window. the real fullscreen mode (without window borders and title bar!) is deactivated by default because there are some problems with debugging or so (okay, there are some UI-errors like blacking out of the 3d-view when th...

@ jbinto: Please don't misunderstand my last post. I really look forward to the new console within the UI. :-) I mainly adressed this to the initiator of this thread, I just wanted to make clear that the console window is generally very useful. And as former linux-user (now windows again - linux onl...

ARRG leave the console alone and wish you know how to use it someday Indeed. I agree with that. Learn to like it! 1. This console windows is just very useful. The first thing I do, when an error (or something weird I think it could be an error) happens, is to have a look at the console. And in most...

FeatureRequest: Scripts-Menu into the SPACEBAR-Toolbox

I'd like to request to put the context depending Scripts -menu (e.g. Mesh-->Scripts or Objects-->Scripts ) additionally into the SPACEBAR-Toolbox and give it perhaps its own hotkey, perhaps the #-Key (like the Shift-A to call the Add-Menu directly). First I thought to use the Ctrl+S, but it seems to...

Fullscreen-Mode on Win with nVidia

I know some reasons for keeping the fullscreen mode on above named system switched off in the builds, but could it be possible to provide this feature in future builds? Perhaps as a separate downloadable build? I use Bellorums build at the moment, and i like it, because the fullscreen mode gives me ...

Make local - Objects only / Objects AND Data / All

sometimes ago I requested a better importing / library linking feature... and now I just found it!!! :-) The ability to link an object with only making the object local and keeping its data linked is just that what I needed to work more effective with linked data. :-) who ever implemented this - THA...

Parenting Particle Emitters

hi, why isn't it possible to move (key animate) an object with a particle emitter object as child? I've created a cube and a plane, then made the cube parent of the plane. now I added a particle emitter to the plane. if I now key the cube's LocRotSize at frame 1, then go to frame 100 and try to move...
