ok, switching windows instead of closing them works fine.

Wierd it should do that though, is this a common error?

I try what you're saying...

It's not a problem with my graphics card, I used to use Blender on this same computer with WinXP as an OS and things were OK...

What OS do you use?
Maybe this is SuSE 10.0 specific?
If it is, why are Novell putting Blender on the install CDs?

Has someone else got this problem? Who can I contact for help?

Actually, even bigger, after doing the texture calculations for all the walls and other unmovable objects, you set the ambiant light to 1, and put shadow-only lights around the scene, set it so only the movable objects cast shadows, and you've got relatively fast animated renders...

No, none of that...

For example, I do a test render of a scene by hitting F12 or pressing the button (that doesn't make a difference).

I close the Render window

Hit render again and everything closes...

mp3 is a compressed wav-type file, so technically, anything that can play wav can play mp3 with the correct codecs, I don't understand why mp3 isn't implemented in Blender yet... However, midi (.mid files) aren't actually sounds, they are commands that tell the computer to play a set of already exis...
