Alright, I guess it's not that big of deal. It just strikes me as a bit strange to pretend (in the documentation) that 2.5x didn't exist but still have remnants that reference it in the documentation. Plus, all of the google links to the 2.5x wiki that now direct people to the 2.6 equivalent. If a p...

So, Blender 2.5x never became stable? Hmm.

There isn't a whole interweb full of tutorials for Blender 2.5x? Hmm.

You might want to look around the interweb a little more.

At the very least, as a matter of consideration for Blender users, please remove the "Blender 2.5" option from the manual version listbox. Selecting 2.5 shows documentation for 2.6. That makes sense to someone? It might also be a good idea to make a community announcement that the Foundation conside...

Well...that really is an awful decision. Why not just let the existing pages simply exist? Why create confusion for the documentation? Why is the documentation for 2.49 still available? It existed and is still used. Blender 2.5x existed and is still used. What's the problem? Why pretend that 2.5x ne...

Can't access the Blender 2.5 wiki pages

Hello, I can access the 2.4x, and 2.6 wiki pages, but selecting 2.5 from the dropdown listbox takes me to the 2.6 pages. Even google search results targeting 2.5 wiki pages go to the 2.6 version of the page. Please help as this breaks quite a bit of backlinks to the 2.5 pages. I see the "maintenance...

I would have to say that it's been my experience that Blenderartists is not the friendliest place to be. However, I don't believe it's a reflection of the Administrator(s). My experience has been more with the attitude of some of the users and moderators. It's unfortunate because the site has been a...

Sunday Meeting Agenda RSS feed link appears to be broken

Hello, I would like to use the RSS feed that's available for the "Sunday Meeting Agenda" page. However, the feed link appears to be broken. This is the error message that I receive in my browser (Firefox v2.0.0.10): XML Parsing Error: xml declaration not at start of external entity Location: http://...

Video: Gen3 Tree-Making Tool

http://www.blendernewbies.com/tutorials/swf/tree_tools_review/gen3/gen3_thumb.jpg This is a quick demo of the Gen3 tree-generating script. Gen3 is created by Sergey Prokhorchuk (a.k.a. Stager) and we have him to thank for creating such a great tool for Blender. I've done a lot of research and have ...

@joeri I just googled "realbasic" to take a look at their logo (I've never heard of them until now) and I can see a resemblance. But, their logo is orthographic and mine has perspective, plus the circle around it and the gradient background. I think I spent about 3 minutes creating the logo graphic....

Is there a limit to the path length of a .blend file?

I've just figured my way through a series of crashes while trying to load Blender. The last time I had used Blender, I had loaded a file whose path length was about 160 characters. I tracked the problem down to the .Blog file (in the .blender subdirectory). Deleting the entry for the file whose path...

Duh! I just realized that I can "Save As..." the pdf file to many different formats from within Adobe Acrobat! However, it would still be cool to get the magazine already in that format for downloading. Especially if you don't have Acrobat. Thought: If my results with exporting the PDF to RTF, HTML,...

Both! With the content, there seems to be more variety with the Orange Team interviews, etc. And, the appearance is MUCH more readable concerning the column widths and formatting. Overall, I think the design tweaks have made for a better publication. If it's possible, it would be great to have a ver...
