Building for Graphical?

Ok, so I finally figured out how to build Blender a few months ago thanks to a lot of help. So I would like to post builds on graphicall.org, but I'm a little confused by the FAQ; can only someone from the development team post builds or can anyone who registers post builds? Building on XP MCE 2005,...

Well, I tried cleaning out the cache and I'm still getting an error. :( Or maybe I haven't found the right cache? This is the error I'm getting now: REPORT of '/svnroot/bf-blender/!svn/vcc/default': Could not read response body: A system call that should never fail has failed. (https://svn.blender.o...

Thanks.

Can't Checkout Blender for some reason

I'm using Tigris Tortoise SVN and checking out to a folder.

I keep getting these two errors:
REPORT of '/svnroot/bf-blender/!svn/vcc/default': Could not read response body:
SSL error: decryption failed or bad record mac (https://svn.blender.org)
Any ideas?

Thanks

In your second step there, I took "set PATH=C:\Python25;%PATH%" to mean change directory to C:\Python25\scons-0.97\SCons directory, and then run the vcvars32.bat file. But you say that's in msvc? I'm not a coder [yet], so I need a little more verbose instructions. Thanks for being patient. :) LC No...

Hey all, last night I was able to successfully checkout Blender from SVN using TortoiseSVN!! w00t! Now I just have to figure out how to build it. :? Get Python (www.python.org) and scons (www.scons.org, latest stable). * Open up a cmd.exe, add python to your path (ie. set PATH=C:\Python25;%PATH%) *...

Doesn't opengl render the viewports to?

If opengl is rendering both the viewports and the UI, how is performance not affect?

Just because the UI is 2D and not 3D?

Just wondering,

Getting Blender from SVN?

Hi all, I'd like to try my hand at building Blender. I've tried it a few times with MSCV++ 2005 Express and a zip tarball to no avail. I would like to try getting the sources from the actual SVN repository, but I'm a relative newbie to coding and don't know how to use SVN. So yeah, I have some VB6 e...

Blender Icons?

This seems like a coding question, so I'm guessing I'm at the right forum... :D

Ok, I have two questions:

1. What software does the Blender team use to make the icons?

2. What software do they use for the actual coding? Dev-C++ or something?

Thanks, LC

Video Downloading Troubles...

I've tried to get the tutorial videos from the Blender Foundation site, but they take an insane amount of time to download, and when they do, they don't work! I even have a broadband connection! I'm wondering if this could be due to the fact that just about every single video is in .avi format. I do...

3D M o d e l l i n g?

Some time back I was looking to mod for Jedi Academy, and needed a 3d ling program for the s. When I found Blender, I thought it might be a good idea but apparently it can only compile .blend files. 1)Is this true? 2) Can it support other file types or is there a way to convert file types?
