More specifically I am looking to create something that would be a cross between the Walkthrough.exe and ShinyLaptop.exe. Can anyone point me in the direction of the information I need to create an interactive walkthrough? I have spent a couple hours sifting through search hits but have found nothin...

Is there a tutorial on creating an interactive walkthrough?

Second post sounds like you found one and are working on something but I do not see an answer to the first post.

I noticed that in the properties of a regular child or obj with copy location restraint, the location/rotation information in the transform properties box are relative to the parent, if x = 5 and y = 10, then the child would move to that offset from the parent, and those values will stay the same if...

Children's origins/rotations data do not follow parent?

I hope this is the right place for this question. I notice that an object that tracks another object does not show any rotation change in the Transform Properties that reflect the object changing it's rotation to point at it's target. Is this intentional? I was wanting the RotZ of the tracking objec...

There is another way, there is a selection limiter button, that by default does not allow you to select "through" an object in solid draw mode, but if you deselect it, you will then see your edges and verts through your model still drawn in solid mode, and be able to select the backfacing verts/edge...

I just started using Blender at version 2.37a and bought the book for v2.3. I have had no trouble realizing that things have changed a little from the book the to version I am using. I am a person that likes a piece of paper in front of me, so I would be bias to say buying the book is worth it for a...

Real time mapping of camera view to object?

I am not sure how to phrase the question, but was curious if something is possible in Blender. Can you somehow map to an object the contents of what a camera is seeing. Example: Camera_1 is pointing at some action going on in the animation. Camera_2 is pointing at a model of a security monitor as if...

Feeling better today and figured it out.

Turns out the viewport has to be in wireframe mode for the surface curve to be visible, doh!

:) maybe this post will help some poor soul from going crazy.

Can not see Surface Curve.

Hi all, I downloaded Blender 2.37a and purchased the book Blender 2.3 Guide. I am at the 'skinning' section where the book asks me to add a surface curve, not nurbs or bezier. I am supposed to shape this curve to form a profile of a ships hull, but unless I select all verts and extrude, I cannot see...
