How bout HDR images? Are they now supported in the blender internal renderer now? If so how do you add them and tweak the settings? I just learned how use HDRI in Maya, seems you have to use very light color gain to get it to blend in with the normal lighting.

Several issues with this build. Transparent materials are not showing up in the render preview ball. The box is a bit too tilted to see the texture. I don't think the new style works in that area. The edit mode with viewpoint shading using noodles for color mixing materials, displays the object as b...

Another suggestion. A way to bake hair styles to vertice group. Currently you need to have all of the curves animated to keep the hair style consistent. It would be nice if you could shape the hair, than get rid of the curves, while keeping the hair. This baked hair could also be recalled so for ani...

Alrighty some new ideas for features. In the ipo curve editor I think it would be cool to have a procedural sine waves for curves, or something that would allow to make a sine curve very quickly. This is great for texturing and would save a lot of time from manually doing it. Also in the ipo curve e...

Exporting to maya binary

How hard would it be to export to .mb format? It would be awesome if I could model and texture my characters in blender and export the file to maya. Also can bones be transfered between the programs?

I have a few ideas for blender 2.5. yeah I like to think ahead. ;-) Anyway I divided it into 3 areas which I think could use improvement. Texturing: Vertex Painting could use a rehaul, its a little slow and the colors you paint with don't always show up the actual color they appear as when they rend...
