everybody thinks opengl does that much. but it isn't. if you load a texture as an opengl texture, it remains in memory until you (blender) deletes it. it isn't deleted if it's not needed. it is better, if you only load the textures you actually need. otherwise the graphic-card memory is reserved for...

haha. no I mean the gameengine/game player.If there are additions like shaders and material-support, why not anti-aliasing. That doesn't (only) depends on the driver. Is it possible to use (fullscreen) Anitaliasing with blender?
Most recent games are using antialiasing. I think there is an OpenGL Extension for AntiAliasing.
