ok, the problem was that you need to call the environment batch files each time you want to compile. ugly if you don't know. edit: so and now i get this after a while: [...] Linking library ==> 'bf_imbuf.lib' Linking library ==> 'bf_cineon.lib' Linking program ==> 'makesdna.exe' ..\build\win32-vc\ma...

ok, with BF_QUIET=0 it shows what's executed. i have compared it to what's being executed for mingw. g++ -o C:\BlenderDev\build\win32-mingw\intern\ghost\intern\GHOST_DisplayManagerWin32.o -c -pipe -funsigned-char -fno-strict-aliasing -march=i686 -ffast-math -O2 -Wall -pipe -funsigned-char -fno-stric...

kent mein has included DDS in cmake now, thanks for that. i did a lot of testing, i could get scons and mingw to work but not scons with vc. it stops at compiling GHOST_DisplayManagerWin32.cpp without error message. i don't know what's wrong here but i'd really like to know how to solve this problem...

Compiling blender with DDS file support via VC and cmake

i've tried for several hours now to compile that in by myself but with no success. the official windows release is able to load DDS files but it seems to be disabled in trunk by default. at the moment i think it's just the missing WITH_DDS var in the cmakelists.txt files. i tried to add it but it wo...

i have some problems to determine from the modifier code what full(!) frame currently is being processed. G.scene->r.cfra is useless because i can't distinguish if it's really the next frame or only the next frame vectors which are being calculated. it goes like this: frame 1 - cfra 1 frame 1 - cfra...

Adaptive Subdivision development

i've decided to create a thread where i'm going to post my questions any time i'm stuck with the development. since this is my first attempt to implement something directly into the blender source, it's hard for me to understand all the internal connections and structures, basically how everything w...

thank you, it works.

Code: Select all

float camVec[3] = {0,0,1};
Mat4Mul3Vecfl(G.scene->camera->obmat, camVec);
after this camVec contains the correct camera vector.

i had no time to wait, so i made some changes to curve.c myself and now the handles have always a constant 1/3 of the horizontal distance to the next key. now the above example looks like this and i like it much better: http://img521.imageshack.us/img521/5320/korrektur6sg8.png i replaced len= 2.5614...

Bad IPO Auto Handle behavior

one example: http://img147.imageshack.us/img147/6199/scr1fa3.png you can see the handles were set to vector now and all handles have a nice distance from its keys. http://img147.imageshack.us/img147/5996/scr2ci3.png here i set them to auto but the resulting curves are anything else than smooth curve...

thank you for the quick reply.

i checked my settings and could only find the -O2 switch and no more optimizations. then i have tried -O1 and now everything works.

looks like the most builds out there are built with -O2 because none of those i tried worked correct.

anyway, it works now. thanks. :)

strange artifacts, could this be a bug?

here is a part of the image which is produced by the internal renderer from a recent SVN build: http://img401.imageshack.us/img401/1593/0010zm0.jpg you'll notice all the black pixel groups. i first thought of a simple raydepth problem but after testing around a bit it looks like something different ...

[#7858] yafray plugin support recently broken

i already have filed a bug report as you can see but because i'm a bit in hurry and because it might only be a little problem to fix i want to ask here for a quick solution. the latest builds i could find on graphicall and my own ones are crashing since a short period of time when using the yafray p...
