Thanks Ton, I can always count on you! 8) Anyways, I just got back from Siggraph (Every hour in the air for you is a day on the ground for me) And I'm pooped, I'll look over the meeting notes and orga...

Excuse me?

Just pump up the version number add in some half baked features and undigested concepts and call it a release?

When we're in solid shaded modes there should be a "draw faces" option which allows the wireframe mesh to be visible, while we interact with the world in this way the rear vertices should not be drawn, the only time rear facing vertices should ever be drawn is when the user specifically selects that...

From the way the meeting went, it seems that the IHV's ala... 3DLabs, ATI want to "test drive" the New ARB extensions in 1.5 with Nvidia basically choosing to market it's Cg variant, to the high end vfx vendors as a shader toolkit, (they still don't have advanced viewport rendering and Mayas' "Hardw...

Hey all, just popping in here to say the first BOF went great, there were like 35-40 people and after the formalish meet and greet there was a brief recap of the last year and then it was off to the bar where the conversation got really interesting. I know there were pictures being taken on a Digica...

Thorax: I am strongly opposed to the ebay style of paying per feature. Open source is supposed to free application projects from the imposing political interests of deep pockets. How cost effective for a corporation to decide to use blender and then bid only $40,000 for a team of developers in china...

Is anyone planning to put on a presentation?

Does anyone want to display video?

If so I have a digital projector I would be willing to bring along to the BOFs.

Think about it, my offer is good till the 16th.

By that time I'll have left

I think the best way to show what it is one wants is to implement something, if not a polished product, then something to demonstrate the concept with perhaps a bit of usefulness. 3D applications are some of the most complex application which can be devised, and thus it takes professional level prog...

Like ton said, the best results can come when everyone works together when people listen to each others' viewpoints and try to understand why they think differently. Exactly, I'm certainly willing tolisten to other people viewpoints. Rushing off and diving into code without understanding what Blend...

yes and the "big picture" here the "grand design" which would be the logical offsrping of such network based design would be. Feature = different browser Different = Different programming language and if smae language diffrent coventions/coding methods. (no mechanism to prevent this) The "applicatio...

Hey, you know what I hope you are sucessful in this venture. But for the evolutionary person that I tend to be, I'll stick with the blender source as it is and try to make changes to that. I wouldn't mind a plugin for verse from the blender variant that I'll eventually end up forking (probably and I...

Eskil: For some strange reason I think that was aimed at me, and I don't really mind shots @ me, but I can't really shape the future of blender because. 1.) I'm only one person 2.) A bunch of people don't really take my lead (and thats a very good thing since I'm not the most advanced programmer aro...
