It appears that it was simple user error - I had the render settings to Blender Render instead of Blender Game. Changing this value allows the game to be played.stiv wrote:There is something weird about your setup. That file path looks broken.tmp\\0001.png

I don't see how this should be posted to blenderartists.org. This is a component that is packaged with the latest release of blender and is not working due to a technical issue of some sort. I am not seeking a special use of blender, nor am I asking something that is skill related.
