I did a test without tangent shading and the flickering went away.

Weird Grass Flickering

I know I know... this is a development forum... but I posted on BlenderArtists and nobody has posted back. Anyhoo... I have some animated grass (static particles animated using curve guides). In the rendered animation, the grass's color sort of flickers, almost like there is some kind of lightning s...

Oh I just thought of another one: the ability to have it choose a random image out of a bunch of images (in a movie file, or a sequence) to use as the halo texture, instead of having to use the same texture over and over again to where it looks really repetitive and ugly.

I'd like to see volumetric simulations for fire, smoke, explosions, etc. I think there was one person who looked like they were pretty interested in doing this, but I think they just wanted to do it for SoC. http://www.blender.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=11189 But simulations like that is reaching a b...

[Request]Changing Edge Thickness

Ya know the edge thing? You can't change the thickness of it! Can somebody please make it so you can change the edge thickness? To me it seems like it wouldn't be all that difficult.

Is there any other program out there that can do this? I just need some explosion animations for my games.

Will Blender ever get volumetric simulations?

http://ex.cgchannel.com/product_info.php?products_id=274 I know eventually Blender will have these sort of capabilities. I keep hearing stuff about how somebody is working on it, then nobody is, then somebody is again... I know you guys are probably very tired of constant fire and smoke simulation r...

... and if you get enough of them it almost sounds like crickets? lol

I'm on Windows XP, and I assume it's sp2 because I got the computer after sp2 was released.

So there's nothing really wrong with my computer? It's just kind of annoying that's all.

Ok this is gonna sound REALLY weird but...

Whenever I have 10000 static particles, my computer makes a strange noise every time blender redraws the view. Like I'll rotate the camera and I'll keep hearing this beeping noise coming from inside my computer, not from the speakers. When I turn off static, or lower the amount below 2000 I can't he...

Yea and I wanna blow stuff up!
- Hard bodies CHECK
- Soft bodies (for windows blowing up) CHECK
- Fire balls... what the hell is this? Are all these fuzzy dots supposed to be fire?

EDIT: I just realized how annoying I'm being. Sorry.

Dual graphics cards?

Does the number of graphics cards you have influence render times?

Not legal for open source? That doesn't sound right to me...

Impede bullet physics? It would replace them if you had the card.

I meant it could handle the calculations.
