To me the rotation icon looks like a clock, something that would open up a timeline, or some sort of time settings dialog, maybe the IPO window (or actions, or NLA), but I'd never think of rotation. Some sort of curved arrow would be better IMO. The widget button: maybe a hand with outstretched fing...

I don't know what the problem is, but in my latest project, which is a pretty heavy scene with many objects and materials, I have several bugs in the last builds. Such as: - Curve objects not appearing in 3Dview - Weird camera behaviour: ie, when in camera view, and using Ctrl+MMB to zoom in, the ca...

Yeah, I also find that very useful, other apps also have similar options. One bug that the recent builds have is: some of my curve objects don't show up in the 3Dview. Only the little dot representing the origin. If I select the dot, and step into editmode, then out, then it displays it. Also, if I ...

The explosion tool is great and useful for many things. But it isn't ready yet, as it doesn't work "out of the box". I mean you add a modifier, and... it does nothing. Yes, I know, you add a particle effect, you change some seetings and then it works, but the modifier should do this automatically. I...

When trying to run the new 2.40 alpha version at school, on Windows XP, I noticed that it needs a dll: MSVCR71.dll to run. Now probably some other MS program installed this on my home PC, but not here. Please, please include this in the zipfile, its not too big (184kb)! Noone likes having to search ...

lguillaume: yes, thanks for pointing that out, if I have no vertices selected, and add a hook like that, then it works. Not very user friendly though, who would know that you shouldn't select anything? Also: what if there's more than one vertex group, which one is the hook assigned to? How do I sele...

Thanks for the build, and all the cool new features, once again! Two things though: - The view clipping with Alt-B disables selection, I can't select anything with the right mouse button. - I don't know what I'm doing wrong with the hooks: I add a sphere, assign all vertices to a vertex group, assig...

n_t: how about the option to set the resolution along each of the axes? IE: you might have a long, thin domain, where you want the water to flow, then you could have 400 "cells" (or what are they called?) along the length, and 100, 100 along the side and the height. Therefore saving memory, and opti...

The same for me too: it is slower than the previous build. Another thing: why has the resolution been limited to 200? I admit higher values take a long time/might crash slower computers, but sometimes a nice animation is worth a long wait, now we don't have that option any more. Maybe you could incl...

The clipping planes are a very useful feature! However, I can't select anything inside editmode, only in object mode. Other things, like transforms, etc, work. About the edge drawing: interesting feature, it does select the more interesting edges, but when I enter and leave edit mode, the edges that...

Wow! All I can say is wow, it's better all the time, I wouldn't have thought modifiers would be implemented anytime soon. My comments/ideas, of course you've probably thought about this already. First of all, I would like to see it as its name implies, a "stack", ie: a list with the modifiers on top...

btw, anyone have problems with aborting when using plugin render (yafray not responding to esc-key)? I wouldn't call this a bug, but I can't stop the rendering during the xml loading phase, which can take several minutes on large meshes. A problem: I too have crashes often. One is if I have Global ...

Hmm, those material presets for glass, etc look great! Something that many people I have shown Blender to wanted: "Yeah, great, I can create nice glass/metal/etc. materials after years of experience with Blender, but why aren't there any presets for new users?" Yafray commit: does this mean that a n...
