Well, I would say that if you’re planning to build an application or extend Blenders paint capabilities then handling Hi-res geometry is a high demand. Zbrush is the only application that can handle dense geometry on low spec machines though Mudbox2 will have it when it’s done. Other features desire...

Re: FastLSM Soft Body Algorithm
That would sure bring the fastest dynamics engine I ever seen into Blender. Perhaps this thread is located in the wrong forum area and should be move to the so it would get more attention. Personally I think it´s stunning and it looks really fun

Re: got a serious question?
That is of course nice but I think it would be more important to begin with good import and export for the capture data generated by the available software. If your on a budget that includes capture rigs you probably have or will have those software in the pipeline. Moving data for rendering is the ...

Re: Blender NLE / Final Cut Pro, usability - new Wiki entry
Good article. I have worked in Acid since its first release back in 98 and from a editors perspective being able to drop files in the sequencer without having to think about crossfades/loop points or clip resolutions gives a really nice and fast flow in the creative process.

Graphical user interface development research.
Hi.
I was wondering since, as I understand, there seems to be discussions about an interface overhaul. Are there any official documents or other sources where the developers find proof of concepts for new implementations?

Its really great you bring these feature into life. I run on a 23"inch monitor with 1920*1200 and it still feels appropriate to have the fullscreen mode because it gives a certain "feel". The tweak mode is just unbeatable when it comes to fast manipulating of vertices, dont really understand why its...

WOW!! This looks like the coolest thing ive seen in blender. It actually looks like Zbrush 2.5 new addition and also reminds me of the way Houdini does it.

I dont like it either so the discussion aint over, cycling for so important functions is not fast workflow. But as i understood this is how we are going to access the transformation handles until we get customizable keybindings. It will do for now :) it is a important feature and i thank the develop...

Why are newbies (always) in favour? I asked at the conference if we could have a 'beginner' and an 'expert' mode, I was laughed at. So now the advanced are going to 'suffer' for the beginners, what is weird 'cause there are more advanced then beginner users. ? Too bad that you got laughed at since ...

Thanks for the build, Gabio. Softbody work, is mostly awesome:) On a sidenote, it seems the silent treatment has worked, and people have either gotten tired of nagging about ctrl for switching being the devil's work, or simply accept it as an inevitable evil. But since we're closing in on the next ...

Please dont remove fullscreen. Is it possible to snap when using axis constraint using the widgets? I know you use ctrl otherwise but since shift is used for dual plane constraint ctrl dont work simultaniously. About the style of the rotation handle. Number 2 is the cleanest but why not try somethin...

Very cool stuff. First, in object mode, i thought the dashed line representing the mouse motion was too thin but being in edit mode it was very clear and not in the way. Perhaps there could be some visual tweaks too it but it works good for now. Can i change the proportion falloff distance while tra...

I guess you already thought of this but there are some functionality to the playback buttons that could be added such as loop-bounce or loop-repetition switch , a button that forces the playback loop to be either forward then backward or forward only. Doubleklicking in between markers = in/out loop ...
