I guess thats the very concept of virtual memory. On low memory systems, you can virtually assign hard disk space as memory to run memory cruncher programs. It can be done on Windows systems, I donno much about linux systems(although I use them). I'm on windows. :) How can I set up my system so Blen...

Crash When Rendering Particles - Where's the Problem?
Hiya, I've created a scene using particles for grass. It seems that when ever I go above 75,000 emission particles Blender doesn't like it. I've done some tests and it doesn't seem to be a RAM issue: First Renders: 1) - 75,000 emissions - 35 children ...used 3.2GB RAM (rendered) 2) - 80,000+ emissio...

Can Blender Write to Disk after RAM is Used?
Hi there, I was just wondering if Blender can write to disk after it has used up the RAM? From my results I'd say it doesn't. My tests have shown that it only uses RAM. If I'm wrong, please let me know! If Blender doesn't write to disk I think it would be a good addition. Even though writing to disk...

Well, I use the same version of Blender. I used the same render engine (and the same editor) and I got these strange results . There are no conflicts with the settings, and I didn't give names to the objects because I thought that I'm the only who use this file. I'm still working on this for you. x...

Re: Blender 2.57b Modifier is Disabled
Hi there, I'm still not 100% sure of what you're wanting to do, but perhaps these might help: 1 - Merge the objects and use the proportional editing tool ( 'o' on your keyboard ) to design your 'bite' 2 - You could also use the mirror midofier to mirror the Y axis 3 - Check out the videos below, hop...

Re: BUG: Selected Collada export
I cannot export individual onjects to Collada. It includes other parts of the scene. I have verified the Collada file, by re-importing the file, and it includes extra geometry. From my limited understanding and experience with COLADDA, it seems to be more of a 'scene' format, therefore saving every...

Re: Dumb Rotation Question
Perhaps parent that empty to a second empty, then animate the second empty's z-axis orientation?

Re: Show object normals by default.
Hello, I have the need to check a model's normals. From preliminary investigation, it seems some normals are being inverted. It seems possible they were born inverted to start with. Now, as far as I know, to show normals in blender I have to go edit mode and then go to the properties tab 'n', where...

In total agreement with you :) Thank you! ^-^ I've been learning JavaScript and Java, and from my limited knowloedge of Python they're all not so far from each other. So, if the developments are not intriduced before I learn Python I'll start working on the script for it. I'm sure there are more ca...

Hi there, Firstly, I don't know how you were able to render the images, as there was no camera in the scene (I downloaded your .blend file). Secondly, after adding a camera and rendering, I got a similar result to that of the video snap shot you posted - deep colours with an orangy cast. I didn't ge...

Additions -- Would you like to see these?
Hi there, Firstly, I know that Blender is undergowning major development at this time, so I really don't want to sound like a winer - of which I'm not! Secondly, these suggestions are ideas and personal preferences only. I am not a developer, and probably never will be, so all suggestions listed bel...
