Hi, the set of scripts has been committed to the extensions tracker for your consideration. https://projects.blender.org/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=18231&group_id=153&atid=467 We realise that this request has many implications for Blender and for YafaRay, it is not just a 'small' script. The ...

Request about YafRay 0.0.9 removal and a proposal
Hi Blender developers: The current status of YafRay 0.0.9 is producing a bit of confusion and some questions among the Blender comunity. Some Blender users expect YafRay 0.0.9 to be replaced by YafaRay 0.1.0, using the current workflow and sporting the same level of integration. Also some Blender de...

IMO the page I linked to is just that. The page is there to advertise to users about potential local groups. As one example, I run the #blender.fi site and try to activate Finnish users also locally. The site is mentioned on the page, Finnish users can now find it through blender.org. After that it...

stiv, my proposal has nothing to do with me forming a local group. My proposal is about having a space for Blender Local Groups in the Blender.org site! That page could list the different local groups in each contry, information, contact details, links to the groups webpages, etc. Also it would be n...

A suggestion and a concern
OK first the suggestion: In Blenderartist.org, lately there are appearing interesting threads about the formation of local groups of Blender users that join together once a month or so to exchange their Blender experiences. I think it is a very nice idea, and I think it has potential. My suggestion ...

Feature Request: Reload linked data
That's it, plain and simple. Reloading linked data. Like the 'reload' button for textures and for the very same reason. You can modify the source data and getting the results in the linking scene without opening and closing files. I have other objections about the linking feature, but this is the mo...

YafRay for interiors - not bad in good lighting scenes (outdoor). But in interior it's so dirty. When dirt problems are solwing with gamma and expource - materials are changed too in final pictures. Lighting problems should not be solved with gamma correction. Gamma correction should be used in sma...

Hi, If you want to write about YafRay, take into account that yafRay is supposed to be rewritten and that perhaps any documentation effort should be made rather in a "quick and dirty" way, because that documentation could become outdated in any moment. That's why, for instance, is better a Yafray tu...

About the 3ds format, autodesk is trying to kill it. If you have enought money to buy/update any autodesk product from 2006 and earlier to the 2007 series, you will see that they removed the support for exporting 3ds formats (you still can import it, for now), and 3ds 8 will use another format for ...

DXF is pretty dead for 3D content. Anything you want in that regard could be done by the 3DS format, also supported by any CAD package out there. Better a good 3DS importer IMO. DXF is not an standard anymore, each time that a new DWG specification is released, new DXF specifications are created too...

YafRay 0.0.8 Release Notes.
http://img211.imageshack.us/img211/7318/sss0wd.jpg Hi. We have elaborated some notes about Yafray 0.0.8 release, mainly based on eeshlo's commit logs: http://wiki.yafray.org/bin/view.pl/UserDoc/ReleaseNotes008 These notes are a quick overview of Yafray 'new' capabilities. Besides, in them we are al...
